Long time no update, haha, I know. This blog has just started and I already took my sweet long hiatus. So, what is new with me? Nothing much. My best friend's wedding is coming up soon, in September, and she asked me to forward her some ideas of dresses and headpieces for her pre-wedding photoshoots. So, I spent my night off online, browsing for shoes (for myself xD ) and looking up images of haute couture dresses, especially those that feature cute head accessories. Here are some of my favourites.

Christian Dior Couture Spring 2011. I love everything about this look. The balance achieved from the elaborate, flowing top, cinched just at the right place, defining the waist and the polkadot pencil skirt, with sheer black layer; I believe this outfit will compliment any body type. The headpiece is just as amazing. |

Christian Dior Couture Spring 2011. Another piece from the same collection as the one above. I love how understated yet bold this look is. The play of fabric on the gown eliminates the needs of adding anymore colour into it. I also love how such simple black sheer fabric could give such a statement. I would even consider this as my future wedding dress, haha. |

Bridal headpieces from Suzanne Couture Millinery. It's white. It's ribbon. It's on your head. How much cuter can it get? Bow is so versatile. You don't need to wear it with wedding dress. I think it would look really cute with sundresses. Sans veil, though.

Bridal headpiece by DolorisPetunia, available on Etsy. Elegant and understated, this head accessories will definitely dress up any simple or plain gown. Love it. It gives out a bit of hippie feel, but in an elegant and feminine way. |

Dior inspired Barbie Doll. The first time I saw this image, I squealed in my mind. This outfit makes me think of old New York and the Plaza. |

Here is the original. Dior Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2009. I love the original skirt and shoes more. |

So yeah, I went through hundreds of other images, but these few are the ones that made such an impression on my mind. All this researching made me realize that I have not been really following designer fashion show anymore. I remember few years back, looking through pictures of haute-couture fashion show was my favourite thing to do to procrastinate. It is just a coincident that most of the images are from Dior, even though I have to admit that I have always loved Dior Haute Couture since I was a kid. I love how his collection is always daring, unconventional, yet able to maintain elegance and class. Ah, how time flies.
Speaking of time, I also realize how older I have got, with friends getting married, settling down and having family. Listening to my friend's frantic wedding planning, made me want to plan my own wedding too, haha. I am thinking, instead of the traditional white wedding dress, I would opt for crimson red gown. The deeper the red, the better, so it does not look too Chinese New Year-ish. Like these babies from Vera Wang Bridal Show Spring/Summer 2013. What do you think?
